{"id":31449,"date":"2023-04-21T10:51:16","date_gmt":"2023-04-21T08:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saarlb.de\/financial-report-2022\/"},"modified":"2023-04-21T11:59:05","modified_gmt":"2023-04-21T09:59:05","slug":"financial-report-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saarlb.de\/en\/financial-report-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Financial report 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SaarLB significantly increases new business and focus-es even more on the Franco-German orientation and sustainability<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>New business climbed by 38%, a substantial rise year-on-year, with strong growth in Germany and stability in France.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Operating income significantly outpaced the performance in 2021.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Launch of the \u201cBankWESEN\u201d campaign and new branding as \u201cDie Deutsch-Franz\u00f6sische Bank\u201d and \u201cLa Banque Franco-Allemande\u201d (\u201cThe Franco-German Bank\u201d).<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Successful opening of a new branch in Lyon. <\/strong><\/li><li><strong>LBS Landesbausparkasse Saar sees increase in new home loan and savings business<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n<div style=\"height:76px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>Saarbr\u00fccken, <\/strong><strong>21 April 2023<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> In the past financial year, we achieved a good overall business result and continued our positive trend.We were also able to make some important marks beyond the figures.<\/p>\n\n<p>We <strong>increased<\/strong> our <strong>new business<\/strong> to a total of EUR 2.72 billion, an increase of <strong>38%<\/strong> year-on-year.\u00a0 We stabilised the already good level in France and almost doubled our new business in Germany.<\/p>\n\n<p>We <strong>increased<\/strong> our <strong>operating profit<\/strong>, which is based on the Bank\u2019s ordinary business activities and led to a rise in equity, to EUR 153.5 million, up <strong>EUR 10.6 million<\/strong> year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to the solid business figures, which are also <strong>detailed in our Annual Report<\/strong>, we initiated a number of other forward-looking themes for our Bank over the past year.<\/p>\n\n<p>We have refined our <strong>modern brand<\/strong> so it has an even clearer focus, emphasising our DNA as <strong>\u201cDie Deutsch-Franz\u00f6sische Bank\u201d and \u201cLa Banque Franco-Allemande\u201d (The Franco-German Bank)<\/strong>.&#13;\n&#13;\n<em>\u201cThe <strong>new logo<\/strong> clearly expresses what we are, a modern bank with a long tradition, while at the same time emphasising our Franco-German orientation, in line with our business model,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>Dr Thomas Bretzger, Chair of the Board of Management of SaarLB.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to the logo relaunch, we have launched our <strong>Franco-German \u201cBankWESEN\u201d<\/strong> campaign to increase brand awareness at all our German and French branches and beyond. \u201cBankWESEN\u201d also aims to sharpen and promote the perception of our target groups and to rejuvenate the brand.<\/p>\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe recently realised that our orientation and external image no longer corresponded to the current and future image of our bank,\u201d<\/em> says <strong>Katrin Spelz, Head of Human Resources and Communications.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>At the end of last year, we successfully <strong>opened<\/strong> our <strong>third branch<\/strong> in <strong>Lyon<\/strong>, the capital of the French SME sector, thus underlining our Franco-German DNA.&#13;\n<em>\u201cFor us as a bank focusing on German and French SMEs, the Lyon branch is a logical continuation of our strategic focus,\u201d <\/em>\u00a0says <strong>Dr Thomas Bretzger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>In the last financial year, <strong>LBS Landesbausparkasse Saar<\/strong> concluded more than 8,500 new contracts with a total home loan savings volume of EUR 613.3 million.
