Through its partner Klim, the bank is acquiring, amongst other things, CO\u2082 credits from regenerative agriculture at the Biehlerhof farm in Sankt Wendel in northern Saarland.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to the Biehlerhof, SaarLB is purchasing certificates from four other farms in Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate. In total, the purchase comprises certificates amounting to 340 tonnes of CO\u2082.<\/p>\n\n<p>The partnership was officially unveiled today during an on-site meeting at the Biehlerhof. The meeting was attended by representatives from Klim and the Biehlerhof, as well as the Chairman of the Executive Board of SaarLB, Dr Jochen Sutor.<\/p>\n\n<p>By opting for a regional approach, SaarLB combines its commitment to climate protection with support for farms in its region. Through Klim, the bank acquires certificates based on quantified and verified climate benefits derived from regenerative agriculture.<\/p>\n\n<p><div>&#13;\n&#13;\n\u201cFor us, sustainability starts right on our doorstep. That is why we deliberately take a regional approach when purchasing our CO\u2082 certificates. In this way, we support the climate protection efforts of agricultural businesses in our region and link our commitment to regional value creation,\u201d <b>said Dr Jochen Sutor, Chairman of the Executive Board of SaarLB<\/b>&#13;\n&#13;\n<\/div><\/p>\n\n<p><div>&#13;\n&#13;\n\u00ab Pour nous, le d\u00e9veloppement durable commence \u00e0 notre porte.
