Shortly after the doors of the “Palais de la Bourse” in Lyon were opened yesterday evening, the room quickly filled up for the grand opening of our new location.
Right at 6:30 p.m., our Chairman of the Board of Management, Dr. Thomas Bretzger, welcomed all the invited guests and media representatives in a brief address and then handed over the floor to Wolfgang Förster (State Secretary for Finance and Science of Saarland) and Sophie Blachère (member of the Regional Council of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes). Both representatives of their respective countries emphasised the importance of the new location in Lyon, the capital of the middle class in France, especially for German-French economic relations.
Immediately afterwards, our member of the Board of Management, Frank Eloy, presented SaarLB and our new focus with “La Banque Franco-Allemande” to those present, highlighting our Franco-German orientation, business model and the advantages of the new location in Lyon. The program was rounded out by an exciting keynote speech from Nicolas Bouzou, who used many practical examples to illustrate Franco-German challenges in business and finance.
Finally, Dr. Jochen Legleitner, CEO of “La Banque Franco-Allemande” stressed the importance of the new location in the French capital of the middle class, in part because of our bank’s Franco-German orientation.
