ISO 20022 is the globally uniform standard for data and message formats for processing financial transactions. Due to new requirements, the formats for account and transaction information, as well as payment transactions, are regularly developed further. In the EBICS standard, ISO messages for SEPA payments are now also extended to international and urgent payments, as well as broadly expanded to account statements.
