Accessibility statement

This statement applies to the SaarLB website published at https://saarlb.de.
As a public body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we strive to make our website and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the German Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0).

Status of compliance with requirements

The accessibility requirements are based on Sections 3 (1) to (4) and Section 4 of BITV 2.0, which are based on Section 12d of the BGG.

Accessibility was checked as part of a self-assessment on 16 December 2024.

Result: Our website is partially compliant with the applicable requirements. The following content is not yet fully accessible:

Non-accessible content

  • Video content does not include synchronised, dynamically switchable audio description. Full text alternatives are also missing.
  • Graphics, objects and control elements are sometimes not provided with alternative text – both on the website and in linked PDF documents.
  • HTML structural elements (e.g. headings, lists) are sometimes not correctly marked up.
  • Form labels are not programmatically recognisable in all cases.
  • PDF documents:
    • Some texts have insufficient brightness contrast.
    • Graphics are occasionally used to display text.
    • Graphic control elements and their states do not always have the required colour contrast of at least 3:1.

This content is being revised gradually.
