Our talent management

Every two years, our employees have the opportunity to apply for our talent management programme.

The aim of the support programme is to qualify the participants over the course of the two years to assume a key position.

The support programme includes sitting in on the work in at least one area of the bank, participating in a bank-wide project, a series of seminars to promote social, methodological and individual skills, measures to promote professional skills and participation in an in-house mentoring programme.

Our mentoring programme

Another building block for climbing the ladder to the next specialist and management position is our mentoring programme. Here, our experienced managers stand by the side of junior managers or high potentials. The programme focuses on topics such as appreciation and promotion, professional and leadership tasks, and the establishment and expansion of various networks. Our mentors work with their mentees to develop the support programme for the two-year mentoring period in order to achieve the goals defined by the mentee.

As a major financier of renewable energies, SaarLB also consistently minimises its own CO2 emissions. The Bank covers 100% of its own electricity requirements at its main location in Saarbrucken with renewable energies and also operates this location in a completely climate-neutral manner. The goal is complete climate neutrality in bank operations at all locations by 2025.
