He was personally introduced to all employees at an internal event at the beginning of the year Maik Mittelberg, our new member of the Board of Management, will start as Chief Risk Officer of SaarLB on 1 June and is looking forward to his new professional challenge:

Maik Mittelberg was appointed to the Board of Management by the shareholders’ meeting at the end of last year and will take over responsibility for the “Risk and Organisation” Division, which, in addition to Credit, also includes IT, Organisation and Compliance.
About the person: Maik Mittelberg (52) is a qualified banker and holds a degree in banking (Frankfurt School of Finance & Management). Since completing his training at Commerzbank AG, he has held various positions in corporate banking at Commerzbank AG, IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG, NORD/LB and Deutsche Leasing AG. During his career, he has been responsible for the financing of municipalities, medium-sized companies and renewable energy projects. He has also been responsible for leading major change and transformation projects.
Since the end of 2021, he has been Chief Risk Officer Corporate Clients at TARGOBANK and a member of the Management Board of TARGO Leasing GmbH and TARGO Factoring GmbH.
Maik Mittelberg is married and lives in Bad Homburg with his wife and son.
