Together with the Kreissparkasse Traunstein-Trostberg, SaarLB has financed the construction of the Campus Chiemgau in Traunstein – an innovative site shared by the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences, the Traunstein Chamber of Industry and Commerce Academy, and the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria.
The project will create a modern centre for education and learning, opening up high-quality training and development opportunities for young people in the region.
For SaarLB, the project is much more than a traditional financing arrangement: it is social financing in the spirit of ESG, which invests specifically in societal sustainability. The new campus makes a lasting contribution to securing a skilled workforce, strengthens regional value creation and supports long-term economic development in the Chiemgau region.
As a flagship project, Campus Chiemgau sends a clear signal about the importance of education as a social investment. Access to quality education is seen as a key driver of equality of opportunity, economic stability and social inclusion – and this is precisely where our joint commitment comes into play.
A key factor in the success of the financing was the collaborative partnership between SaarLB and Kreissparkasse Traunstein-Trostberg. Both partners are delighted to be supporting this forward-looking project – and thereby making an active contribution to high-quality education in the region.
