SaarLB, as syndicate leader, together with Sparkasse Trier and Spuerkess Luxemburg, is heavily involved in the financing of the first zero-emissions office building in the Benelux region.
The Andando Group is developing the “Emerald” project at a very attractive site in Munsbach, Luxembourg. Luxembourg City, the international airport and the German border can all be reached within a few minutes by car thanks to the direct connection to the A1 motorway.
This project is special because it will be the first zero-emissions office building in the Benelux region. The focus here is on climate-neutral construction and climate-neutral operation of the building. In addition, corresponding certifications are being sought (BREEAM “Excellent”, DGNB “Gold” and ILFI “Zero Carbon”).
The building will serve as the headquarters of Advanzia Bank S.A. in the future. The new tenants can look forward to a modern and sustainable building that will have a photovoltaic system, efficient building and heating technology, electric charging stations and a green roof terrace.
Construction work is already in full swing and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. The timber hybrid construction of the building is being managed by the general contractor, Saarland-based OBG with its Luxembourg subsidiary – a great example of regionalism across national borders.
