On 12 and 13 May 2026, the SaarLB Economic Advisory Board met in Paris. The trip combined the board’s meeting with a varied programme of political, economic and industry-related discussions.
The programme included, among other things, a visit to the Assemblée Nationale, a meeting at the Banque de France, a visit to Alstom S.A., and discussions with members of the Board of Directors of the German-French Chamber of Commerce (AHK France). In addition, a meeting of the SaarLB Economic Advisory Board was held at the Saarland Office in Paris.
The two days in Paris have once again demonstrated just how important it is to engage in face-to-face dialogue with decision-makers from the worlds of politics, business and public institutions. Such meetings are particularly important for fostering strong regional and cross-border networks.
