SaarLB, together with Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCOB), is participating in the financing of a logistics development project by the European investment manager Peakside Capital Advisors AG in Mülheim-Kärlich. The total financing volume amounts to 84.8 million euros.
A modern logistics warehouse with around 61,000 square metres of lettable space is to be built on a site of approximately 107,000 square metres near Koblenz. The property has already been let on a long-term basis for 20 years to a major textile service provider. Construction is scheduled to begin at the end of 2026, with completion expected in spring 2028.
The aim is for the building to achieve DGNB Gold certification. Plans include a photovoltaic system, a green roof, rainwater management, charging infrastructure and heat pumps, in order to achieve a high degree of energy self-sufficiency.
Through its investment, SaarLB is contributing its expertise in property and project finance to a forward-looking project with long-term prospects.
