Our 2024/2026 Talent Class

For several years now, we have been giving our up-and-coming talents the opportunity to take part in an internal development program as part of the Talent Class, helping them prepare for key positions within our bank.

In a sense, we act as “career path supporters”, helping our employees find and pursue the career path they aspire to. In the middle of this year, the 2024/2026 Talent Program came to an end. Across a total of nine seminars, the participants developed valuable skills in the areas of verbal and non-verbal communication, leadership and management, and decision-making. The mentoring program, as well as the informal fireside evenings with members of our Executive Board, further strengthened the internal network.

Working on various projects allowed everyone involved to put the concepts of “project management”, “agile working” and “teamwork” into practice – turning theory into reality.

Our Talent Class is particularly proud of the following achievements:

What we are particularly proud of

Development and launch of the Welcome Day

We are delighted to welcome every new employee who joins our bank and thereby becomes part of our team. Because we believe that a good start and a strong network are particularly important, we established the “Welcome Day”. This recurring onboarding event brings all new employees together, gives them the opportunity to get to know one another and build their network, and provides a broad overview of important topics within the bank as well as the benefits they can expect as part of our organization.

What we are particularly proud of

Piloting the “Working Out Loud” learning concept

The personal development of our employees is particularly important to us. That is why we are constantly looking for ways to integrate personal development into everyday working life. WOL combines networking with collaborative personal development, creating a framework in which employees can grow and develop within the bank. The existing concept was specifically adapted to our organization and our needs in order to create the greatest possible value for us.

What we are particularly proud of

Social engagement

Commitment and engagement are important not only in a professional context. That is why we supported various social initiatives, including “Kältebus Saarbrücken e.V.” and “Ingos kleine Kältehilfe – Hand in Hand e.V.” Through collection and fundraising campaigns, as well as by actively getting involved, we were able to live up to our social responsibility and make a contribution to our community.

Here are some reflections from our talents on their time in the Talent Class.

“The most valuable insights often come from exchanging ideas with others. Those encounters in particular helped me grow professionally and, above all, personally. Looking back, it was not individual workshops or projects that made this period so special for me, but rather the people, the open exchange and the different perspectives. For me, these are the experiences that will continue to have an impact long after these two years.”

Timo Kroll

“For me, the cross-departmental collaboration with the other talents, the inspiring insights from the mentoring program and the personal development fostered through the seminars were particularly valuable. The experiences and skills I gained during the program will continue to accompany me throughout the next stages of my professional career.”

Laura Pistorius

“The Talent Program offers many different facets and opened up numerous new perspectives for me. In addition to the highly interesting training sessions and workshops, the exciting projects and the social engagement, it is particularly the fireside evenings with members of the Executive Board that I will remember. The open exchange on an equal footing and the perspectives of key decision-makers were particularly influential. Over the months and years, a great sense of solidarity developed among us participants, extending beyond our professional roles. To this day, this remains one of the most valuable experiences I take away from the program.”

Manuel Junker

“For me, the Talent Class was much more than a professional development program. The seminars supported and encouraged my professional and personal development in many different ways. Working together with the other talents on various projects was a particularly valuable experience. The open exchange within the team and the different perspectives have had a lasting impact on me and continue to be very important to me. I am very grateful for the trust placed in me and for the opportunity to have been part of this program. I take away many inspiring insights that will continue to accompany me on my future journey.”

Marius Fischer

“The Talent Program has had a lasting impact on my personal and professional development. I particularly valued the exchange within the Talent Class, working together on interesting projects and the diverse seminar series. The collaboration across different departments created particular added value by bringing together different perspectives and experiences. The opportunities to gain experience in other departments also enabled me to deepen my existing professional knowledge and gain new insights into different areas of responsibility. In addition, the regular exchange with an experienced manager as part of the mentoring program provided me with valuable impulses for my personal development. For me, it is precisely the combination of these different elements that makes the program so valuable. I take away enriching experiences and encounters that will continue to accompany me on my professional journey well beyond the program itself.”

Jennifer Heckmann

“Through the Talent Class, I learned to understand myself better, recognize my strengths, work on my areas for development and discover the areas in which I have the potential to go even further. It also gave me the confidence to take the first step and leave my comfort zone – especially thanks to the relationships I was able to build with my fellow talents, as well as with people at all levels of the hierarchy, both internally and externally. It is these opportunities to exchange ideas and these encounters that have helped me grow the most and that will continue to accompany me well beyond these two years.”
